Life-changing Books

My favorite high-school teacher taught me that a good book leaves the reader changed.  This is a list of some of the wonderful books that have touched me in a profound way. Feel free to add your life changing books to the comments, I’m always looking for a good read.  Happy Reading!

The Bible. God.

Hands down the book that has changed me more than all the others combined!

If you have never read it before, I recommend you first read the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  The New Living Translation is very easy to read. The best thing about the Bible is that you don’t have to read it in order, I skip around all the time!   Read online at:  http://www.biblegateway.com/

21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell.

An excellent book on leadership.  In particular I realized that I will be more successful in my career if I focus on building my strengths.

Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer.

LIFE CHANGER!  Just because a thought enters my mind, doesn’t mean I need to keep it there!

A clear, concise book with practical tips to help you prioritizing and implement better time management techniques.

Entreleadership: 20 years of Practical Business Wisdom from the Trenches by Dave Ramsey.

Leadership in the workplace to help your business grow, especially useful for small businesses and franchising.

Hardball for Women: Winning at the Game of Business by Pat Heim.

Wow!  This one opened my eyes to just how men and women are different in the workplace.  Right away I was able to implement techniques from this book to help me better heard by both sexes.  I am still unpacking this one!

How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie.

Practical tips on conquering worry.
