Inner Peace

I started aggressively seeking PEACE 3 years ago. Why on earth does a person go on a PEACE journey? Why does it matter? I know I wondered this many times.

At first I thought PEACE was all about calming the storm inside of me. It was God’s gift to me. The more I seek PEACE, the more I KNOW it truly is a gift, and worth fighting for! There are many people who let every single circumstance toss and turn them, they are continually being thrown into a tizzy. That used to me. Sometimes it still is.

BUT I DO NOT WANT TO LIVE THAT WAY ANYMORE!

I DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE THAT WAY ANYMORE!

I WAS MADE FOR MORE THAN THIS!

When you walk in PEACE there is no separation between the sacred and the secular. This is because I literally cannot walk in perfect PEACE if I am not in continual communion with God. It transforms the mundane to the courts of God. I do not have the strength, the will-power to walk in PEACE on my own. I believe that you can go to church every week of your life and never ever enter into communion with God. I also believe you can be changing a soiled diaper, and it as if you were before the very throne of God. I have been in both places.

God’s original plan was to walk with man in the garden. My very soul longs to walk again with God in the garden. I have not yet arrived to a state where I am in continual communion with God (that is heaven itself). But it is where my very soul longs to be, and I will continue to pursue it for as long as I have breathe.

The more I seek PEACE, the more I crave it. I crave it because it subsides the storm inside me. But even more I seek it because I long to be in constant communion with my Creator, my very God. He longs to be in constant communion with man. That was His design from the beginning. It still is.

“Seek peace and pursue it” Psalm 34:14
