My son has severe allergies and is asthmatic. The doctor’s have had him on a daily dose of steroids for over five years. I used to be a size 4. Now I’m not. The stereotypical woman gets pregnant and gets to eats whatever she wants. Not me. I have to watch my diet like a hawk, carefully counting carbs and sodium grams, even opting for fruit salad over birthday cake on my birthday.
I did it. I cleaned out my kitchen cabinets. I had been dreading it. But dread does not allow you to walk in peace. Four weeks ago I joined Weight Watchers. I was forced to by my health insurance, and literally waited until the last possible minute to sign-up. I won’t tell you how much I’ve lost so far, because it’s embarrassing, but at least the scale went down and not up. It is not that I do not want to lose weight. I do.
