God fixed my car!

Twice in the last week I prayed and God immediately answered…and I just need to give Him a shout out!  Monday I was leaving my subdivision when I hit a patch of ice.  I realized quickly that my car was not going to stop, and I could see a car coming at 40mph straight towards me.  My life flashed before my eyes as I screamed out the name of Jesus in a prayer.  Instantly my car stopped.  And I mean instantly.

Thursday I got stuck in a snow bank at a friend’s home.  It took 3 people, a shovel, some old carpets, and my lost pride to get me unstuck.  The next day as I was driving to work, I noticed a loud rattle coming from the tire area.  After I hit the highway, it got worse, my car was shaking and making a terrible noise.  When I let go of the steering wheel to check the alignment, it immediately veered to the right.  I knew something had gotten bent, ie., $$$$$.

Right then I hit a big traffic backup, and as I was driving at a snails pace, I said a prayer, “God, please fix my broken car.  I know you have the power to do this, and it seems like just a little thing, but it would mean a lot to me.”

A few miles down the road, I had escaped the traffic jam.  As I started to accelerate, I noticed no noise coming from the front of my car.  I hit 50 mph, still no noise.  As I got closer to 70, I waited for the car to start to shake.  But it did not!  I then realized that God had answered my prayer.

So I let go of the wheel.  My car drove straight.  I didn’t believe my eyes and tried it three times.  It still drove straight each time.

I got to work and told a co-worker because I just could not contain myself.  She told me that I needed to get the car checked out.  She’ll give me that God at least gave me a Band-Aid, but fixed the car?  That’s a stretch.

I felt like one of those crazy people. But inside I KNEW God had fixed my car.

So today my husband took the car to Discount Tire, just to make sure.  And….drum roll please, they told him that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.

And that my dear readers is just one of the many reasons why I believe, beyond a doubt that:

God hears and ANSWERS our prayers.

God is concerned with even the smallest things in our lives.

And that prayer is a POWERFUL thing.

Amen.  Come Lord Jesus.
