I Love a Lonely Day – part 2

“Nearly all of God’s jewels are crystallized tears.*”  It is so hard.  Why do we have to go through hard times?  I know they bring me closer to God, but it hurts so much!

It is often the painful things in life that later bring us great joy because it is only then that God’s true power is seen clearly.  When I am weak, He is strong.

Christ Himself lived a lonely life.

Imagine knowing all your life that you were going to die for the sins of the world.  He told this to His closest friends, but they did not understand.  There was no person in this world with whom He could fully share His heart.  He could turn to God alone for strength.

His was not an easy life; a refugee in his infancy; despised by the religious and political leaders of His time; and His closest friends left Him to die a painful and cruel death upon a cross

That is loneliness.

Yet through His loneliness, He was able to do the greatest thing ever done:  He died and rose again, taking all our sins with Him!!!

His lonely days brought Him closer to God, allowing Him to serve God fully with His entire life.

Learn to love a lonely day.

Let it bring you to Christ.
